MOTOR Vision
For
monitoring motor
operating conditions
MOTOR Vision means
"smart" motor starters
connected to the
California Motor Control
PUMP Vision controller.
This provides the user easy
access to motor
operating data such as
volts, amperes, ground
fault current, power
factor and much more.
The purpose of MOTOR
Vision is to provide
proactive protection of
the pump against such
conditions as running
dry, mechanical jam and
power problems.

Screens are provided
in the
PUMP Vision
controller to monitor
and setup the MOTOR
Vision starter.
The main monitoring
screen provides*:
-
Voltage per
phase, average
and imbalance
-
Amperes per
phase, average
and imbalance
-
Frequency
-
Power factor
-
Ground fault
*depending on which
MOTOR Vision solution is
connected.
|
 |
|
The first status screen provides*:
-
Contactor
failure
-
Overload
-
Ground fault
-
Phase loss
-
Phase reversal
-
Over voltage
-
Under voltage
*depending on which MOTOR Vision solution is connected.
|

|
|
The second status screen provides*:
-
Under current
-
Voltage
imbalance
-
High kilowatts
-
Low kilowatts
-
Mechanical jam
*depending on which MOTOR Vision solution is connected.
|
 |
|
The TS1040 has all of
the MOTOR Vision
information off the
TS350, but on one
screen. |

The Tesys U-Line starter is a complete UL508 E class
integrated motor starter. When coupled with a multi-function trip module
and Modbus communication module, it can be connected to the
PUMP Vision and provide:
-
Amperes per
phase, average
and imbalance
-
Ground fault
-
Contact status
-
Mechanical jam,
under current,
and other
important status
conditions.

 |
|
The Eaton Insight motor monitor/overload relay. It can be used in
conjunction with IEC or NEMA FVNR motor starters and includes a Modbus
communication module which can be connected to the
PUMP Vision and provide:
- Voltage per phase, average and imbalance
- Amperes per phase, average and imbalance
- Frequency
- Power factor
- Ground fault
- Contact status
- Mechanical jam, under current, and other
important status conditions.

The PUMP Vision can be setup to
operate variable frequency drives such at the Schneider ATV61 and ATV21.
These are connected to the PUMP Vision with Modbus and some important data is
displayed, including:
- Voltage
- Amperes
- Frequency
- Kilowatts
- Fault conditions and log
*depending on which VFD is connected
|

|
|
The PUMP Vision can be setup to
operate reduced voltage soft-start starters such at the Schneider ATS48.
These are connected to the PUMP Vision with Modbus and some important data is
displayed, including:
*depending on which RVSS is connected
