Tesys Integrated Starter - UL 508E

Many of our pre-designed control panels include the Tesys U-line motor starter in panels up to 20HP at 480 volts.

Square D's TeSys U-Line motor starter is a UL 508E listed integrated motor starter, which means that it can interrupt a fault (short-circuit), up to its 42,000 amp interrupting capacity without and still function properly. Other starters, including HMCP protected NEMA starters, can potentially fail after interrupting a fault.

This technically advanced starter includes:

• Short-circuit protection

• Adjustable Class 10 thermal overload

• Disconnect switch

• Optional door-interlocking handle

• Contactor

• Optional communication modules, including Modbus

The advantages to the user are:

• Reduced size translates into reduced enclosure cost

• Simple to change HP or voltage - just change the trip module which simply plugs into the base unit. With only 5 different trip module sizes, it is likely that no module change is even necessary.
